Located near Vic-Fezensac, bullfighting capital Gers in the heart of the Gers, the castle-Pimbat Cruzalet is very representative of the art of the Renaissance in Fezensac. Master Property Pierre Dupouy, notary in Vic in 1514 and later, in 1628, to Bernard Brunet, consul of Vic-Fezensac, which succeeded the family Grisonis and that of Pardailhan and Faudoas-Barbazan. In the eighteenth century when a Breton gentleman, Françoise Labadie Barbazan wife of a Breton gentleman, François-Louis de Borgne Keruzoret, that's when the castle was renamed Pimbat of Cruzalet. During the nineteenth century, it belonged to the brother of the famous journalist and historian Hippolyte Prosper-Olivier Lissagaray and became a farm. In 1840, on the site of what was to be a wing, a house was built. The current owners have undertaken the restoration after doing register for the inventory of Historic Monuments. The architecture of the castle is the very expression of the classical Renaissance Gers Gascogne. Note the beautiful mullioned openings, the round tower, its Doric door, its gatehouse and inside the spiral staircase of stone leading to 4 rooms. Note also the apparent joist ceilings and 5 fireplaces executed in a Tuscan style, remarkable for their proportions, their purity and drawing. Monument included in the inventory of Historical Monuments in 1976 for outdoor and 1998 for fireplaces and staircase tower.
